editorCharset

Availability: >= 3.0

Type: Object Property

Description: Sets the charset of the editor.

Syntax:

$editor->editorCharsetstring $charset );

You should set this to the charset of the page in which you are displaying the editor. This will attempt to encode the editor output in the required charset.

This does not set the charset of the document being edited, to do that see htmlCharset.

This property is intended for circumstances where the editor must be displayed on a page that uses a different charset to that of the current editor language pack. All the default language packs included with WysiwygPro are encoded in UTF-8.

Setting this property may not always work as some language packs may contain characters not supported by a given charset, therefore if using international languages it is best to display the editor on a page that uses the same charset as the current language pack.
